Summer Morioka-Hachimantai 2 nights 3 days travel plan

– Mountain Activities –

Allow us to introduce a number of mountain activities, beautiful locations, and delicious foodie delights that you can easily visit.

Day1 [ Tokyo → Morioka, Iwate]

On the first day, enjoy great food and walk around the city of Morioka
  1. Arrived at Morioka Station. When you come to Iwate, challenge yourself to wanko soba.
    From August 1st to 4th, you can also see the Sansa Dance Festival.
  2. Overnight stay in Morioka.

Day2 [Morioka → Hachimantai]

Enjoy mountain activities in national parks
  1. Rent a car in front of Morioka station and head for Hachimantai!↓ (Takes about 40 minutes by car on the expressway)
  2. To Lodge Clubman.Enjoy mountain activities with a specialist guide. ROSSIGNOL BIKE CENTER on the same grounds. Rent a bike and explore a special course with your guide. (Reservation required) At night, go on a walk to see the fireflies.

Day3 [Hachimantai → Morioka]

Enjoy beautiful locations and local food
  1. Why not pray for love at Sakura Matsu Shrine? Walk along a path through a refreshing forest of ancient pines and cedars over 200 years old to reach Sakura Matsu Shrine.
    Two trees intertwine, growing together at their base and mid-trunk. This spot is known as a place to pray for love and relationship fortune. Deep within the shrine's forest lies Fudo Falls, a place of great beauty where the red bridge, white waterfall, and green trees create striking contrasts. ↓ (Approx. 10 min by car)
  2. At SHIMONO528, we recommend the slightly unusual miso-flavored soft serve. (About 5 minutes by car)
  3. Enjoy Japanese tofu and our special yuba tofu at Fūsetsu-hana.
    At Hachimantai, you can enjoy four types of tofu—green, black, white, and blue—made from carefully selected ingredients sourced from across Japan. The crumbled soft-serve ice cream and special weekend-only croquettes made with yuba are also exquisite. (Approximately 55 minutes by car via the expressway)
  4. One of the three major noodles in Morioka, enjoy jajamen for lunch. "Bai Long", the place where jajamen was first served in Morioka, is of course particularly famous.
