In spring, the sakura blossoms and the snow corridor towers over roads. In summer, the mysterious Hachimantai Dragon Eye forms under a gorgeous blue sky, nestled among thick alpine vegetation. In autumn, such foliage takes on a deep spectrum of fall colors.
And through it all, season by season, an unforgettable wind blows.
This is trekking around Mt. Hachimantai and Mt. Iwate.
Two new bus routes will be operating from Spring through to Autumn: one between the Hachimantai Onsenkyo area and the Mt. Hachimantai Summit, and one that will bring visitors all the way from Morioka to the summit.
With access to famous and hidden springs along the way, why not give this rejuvenating journey a try?
