Zakka & Cafe nii-ni is a new lunch spot that opened in July 2021 in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, and features an attached general goods shop. In its woody interior, customers can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while savoring healthy lunch options that appeal to health-conscious individuals.

I recommend the "Onigiri Plate." It's a plate that comes with your choice of onigiri plus salt koji fried chicken. The onigiri is made with rice flavored with grilled flying fish broth and filled with plenty of ingredients. The onigiri varieties include salmon, edamame and salted kelp; grilled cod roe and leaf wasabi soy sauce; roasted pork, komatsuna and cream cheese; and green onion and salted pork and wakame seaweed. You might have trouble deciding which one to choose!

We also recommend the "Avocado and Seared Salmon Tartare Sandwich." This sandwich features an exceptional combination of creamy avocado and salmon marinated in dill.

They also offer a wide selection of herbal teas, including a "Stress Relief Blend (Chamomile & Citrus)," a "Sweet and Sour Relaxation Blend (Strawberry & Rose)," and a "Health Support Blend (Black Bean & Burdock & Cinnamon)." You can feel the owner's thoughtfulness in caring for your well-being.

Next to the cafe space is a general goods sales area. You can purchase unique and wonderful goods selected from all over Japan. The owner is also a craftsperson, so the items on display are carefully chosen from an artist's perspective.
